Moving with a Toddler Part 2 and how to get a UHAUL for cheap!

Well technically this should now be called moving withOUT a toddler... LOL at least temporaily.

Number 10 on my previous list? Have two wonderful, amazing parents that will keep your toddler while you bring a UHAUL full of said toddler's toys (and some other things) to your new location. Did I mention AMAZING!

While I am talking about amazing let me mention our new AMAZING church:
Awesome stuff!

OKAY so one day before we leave, my dear husband notices a leak in the car, which ended up being a crack in the radiator. So we have to tow the car.  I am silently relieved because I was going to have to drive the car. Now I don't! I had already negotiated a great price on the UHAUL by going to and Goggle-ing coupon codes and getting the price at Budget down so that UHAUL could match it. So I just did another quote for the auto transporter, and we ended up still paying slightly less after full insurance and taxes and adding a auto-transporter than we would have with our original quote! If I had more time I could have renegotiated with Budget again to get even cheaper rates! God has done so much for us on this journey! But more to come in a post about that later!!! Here's some pictures.

Here is da man... All that schooling just for this ;o)
We got to the hotel too late to get dinner so we opened up the freezer and got out some meals! We got some very strange looks from our fellow hotel stayers. Not a good idea to stay in Hayward (we found out later) but if you do stay at the Days Inn. We got a Whirlpool bath King Suite for under $60!!!
This is the view from our balcony. I close that gate on the trash bin at least 3 times a day. Usually more. Everyone else feels the need to leave it open after throwing away their trash, and it SQUEAKS.
This is our living room. Was. There's only a few boxes now lol.
WOW. Lots of work to do!
There we go... That is getting better!
Um I think we moved to a DIFFERENT COUNTY. Gross! LOL
This is a wonderful concoction. Much cheaper than Starbucks. However Starbucks is awesomely enough in walking distance. But in money saving situations there is this recipe:
Caramel Frappuccino Recipe:
2 c. ice
2/3 c. triple strength chilled coffee (I use instant, sometimes decaf)
2/3 c. milk
¼ c. caramel ice cream topping*
2 TBSP sugar
* I use the ice cream topping type in the squeeze bottle, but starbucks caramel syrup would be even tastier.
Mix it in the blender to the preferred consistency.
For extra YUM! Top with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel

 Part of it anyway :)
 This is my unpacked kitchen!
I don't think any of my kitchens have ever been this clean!
Thank you Jesus for my dishwasher! Amen!
First home cooked meal in our new place...
Good bye HUMBOLDT! Hello new places!
Truly God's Country... But glad to know where we are now, we are assuredly in the WILL OF GOD!
Again- more about that in a future post!

  1. Enjoying another one of your blogs again!

  2. ok I have to ask I was looking at the church pics here and on the website. I got the bright idea to try to figure out how many chairs there are on the floor. This is my answer the two center rows have 5 chairs down each isle there are 6 rows so that is 60 chairs. The outside rows start with 4 chairs and 1 is added for every isle and there is 6 isles in a row.(You still following me) This basically means the number of chairs in each row can be added together. (4+5+6+7+8+9=39) so there is 39 chairs in 1 row of the outer rows. (39*2= 78) so if we add the 78 and the 60 together we get 138 chairs on the floor. I would like to know if I'm right.
